To play the game read the information on the screen and type your commands in the box below the display. You can also click links in the text with your mouse to use exits or interact with objects and people. Right click to bring up a menu of options or left click to perform the default action.
The first thing you need to do is click the underlined option to create an account. Choose a name and password and enter your email address in the text box. You don’t have to give your email if you don’t want to, but if you do we will email you our game manual which contains all the information you need to play Maiden Desmodus. You can also download the manual here.
Once you have created an account type 2 and press enter to begin character creation. Follow the prompts on screen to choose your character’s starting Kingdom, gender, appearance and name. This only takes a minute or two and then you can enter the game world and begin to play. The manual has a walkthrough for the starting areas of both factions.
Movement
Click the direction you want to move or type the name of the direction and press enter. You can also use the numeric keypad to move in compass directions. Use the find command to find local landmarks. There are also maps of the game world.

Role playing
Maiden Desmodus is a role playing game and as such you should try to stay “in character” at all times. This means that you should imagine you are playing a real character in the fantasy world and behave as that character would at all times.
If you’re new to role playing games you could try to imagine yourself as your favourite fantasy hero from a book, film or TV perhaps. Don’t be afraid to ask for help with the petition command if you need it and remember that the whole point of role playing is to have fun.
