Volunteer Staff Agreement

This Volunteer Agreement describes the arrangement between The Binary Forge Limited (“the Company”) and you. We wish to assure you of our appreciation of your volunteering with us and will do the best we can to make your volunteer experience with us enjoyable and rewarding.

Your role as a volunteer is to assist in the creation of content and administration of the Company’s projects including the online game Maiden Desmodus and the MUD Golem game engine.

You can expect the Company:

  • To provide you with appropriate training and documentation, including access to staff only areas of our website, in order to assist you to carry out your volunteer role.
  • To explain the standards we expect for our services and to encourage and support you to achieve and maintain them.
  • To provide you with a company email address so you can contact us regarding your volunteering and to discuss any successes or problems.
  • To do our best to help you develop your volunteering role with us including finding areas of work that match your interests and development goals.
  • To try to resolve fairly any problems, grievances and difficulties you may have while you volunteer with us.
  • To provide a written reference on request detailing your contributions as a volunteer and also to record your name where appropriate as a contributor to our projects.

We expect you:

  • To perform your volunteering role to the best of your ability.
  • To follow the Company’s procedures and agree to the Company’s policies, particularly with regards to content created by you while carrying out your role as a volunteer.
  • To maintain the confidential information of the Company and of its clients including any communications, code, documentation or writings you may have access to.
  • To meet time commitments and standards agreed to and to give reasonable notice so other arrangements can be made when this is not possible.

This agreement is binding in honour only, is not intended to be a legally binding contract between us and may be cancelled at any time at the discretion of either party. Neither of us intend any employment relationship to be created either now or at any time in the future.
